Immersive Experience Designer for Theatre and Installations
Hi, I am Gaurav Singh Nijjer. I'm a creative professional based in New Delhi, India.
I design immersive experiences that surround an audience and let them step inside the story.
I design immersive experiences for theatres, festivals and gallery spaces. My work places the audience inside the world, walking through it with the performers, using sound, space, video and interaction to shape what they feel. I created I, Josef as an immersive performance-installation based on Kafka, and A Walk, Interrupted as a binaural headphone piece that reshapes an everyday walk. I think about the full journey, from the moment someone arrives to the feeling they leave with. Immersive work asks for careful attention to comfort, consent, pacing and flow, so the experience stays generous and always feels safe.

Gaurav Singh Nijjer is a theatre-maker, multidisciplinary designer, creative technologist and researcher from New Delhi, India.
As an artist Gaurav creates theatre, new media and interdisciplinary performances that integrate technology and storytelling, both as an individual artist and under his theatre company Kaivalya Plays. He is a researcher and educator, focusing on new technologies in storytelling. He also works as a creative strategist for brands and organizations, especially in the technology and arts sector, focusing on digital creative projects, marketing and growth.
