Creative Technologist for Live Performance and Interactive Art
Hi, I am Gaurav Singh Nijjer. I'm a creative professional based in New Delhi, India.
I bring code, live video, AI and digital tools onto the stage to shape live experiences.
As a creative technologist I build the digital layer of a performance. That can mean live camera feeds, projection, generative AI, custom code, web platforms or automations that respond to an audience in real time. I have written Python scripts that call AI image and video APIs live during a show, designed interactive pieces that run on Zoom and the telephone, and built systems where audience input shapes what happens on stage. My approach starts with the artistic question and then finds the simplest technology that answers it. I have developed this practice through fellowships with the Goethe-Institut, BeFantastic, MediaFutures and the Humboldt Foundation.

Gaurav Singh Nijjer is a theatre-maker, multidisciplinary designer, creative technologist and researcher from New Delhi, India.
As an artist Gaurav creates theatre, new media and interdisciplinary performances that integrate technology and storytelling, both as an individual artist and under his theatre company Kaivalya Plays. He is a researcher and educator, focusing on new technologies in storytelling. He also works as a creative strategist for brands and organizations, especially in the technology and arts sector, focusing on digital creative projects, marketing and growth.
