Sound and Audio Designer for Theatre and Headphone Experiences

Hi, I am Gaurav Singh Nijjer. I'm a creative professional based in New Delhi, India.

I design sound for live shows and create binaural audio pieces made for headphones.

I design sound for performance and make audio-led work for headphones. I created A Walk, Interrupted, a binaural headphone piece that plays with the imagination our ears can spark, and I designed a 45-minute audio performance in German for I, Josef. My sound work covers live mixing, recorded composition, 3D binaural capture and the close timing that ties audio to action on stage. I think of sound as a way to place a listener somewhere very specific, even when they are sitting still. Audio is often the quietest part of a production and the part that shapes feeling the most.

Reaper or Ableton Live, Audacity, binaural and 3D audio recording, QLab for playback, field recording, live sound mixing.
