Projection Design for Theatre in India
Hi, I am Gaurav Singh Nijjer. I tell stories through live performances, creative technology and multimedia.
I design projection and video environments that integrate moving image with theatrical scenography and live performance.
I approach projection as a live theatrical medium rather than simply a backdrop. Video can transform scenery, establish locations, respond to performers, introduce live camera feeds or create visual worlds that would be difficult to construct physically. I collaborate with directors, scenographers, lighting designers and performers from the development stage through technical rehearsals.

Gaurav Singh Nijjer is a theatre-maker, multidisciplinary designer, creative technologist and researcher from New Delhi, India.
As an artist Gaurav creates theatre, new media and interdisciplinary performances that integrate technology and storytelling, both as an individual artist and under his theatre company Kaivalya Plays. He is a researcher and educator, focusing on new technologies in storytelling. He also works as a creative strategist for brands and organizations, especially in the technology and arts sector, focusing on digital creative projects, marketing and growth.
