Large-Scale Projection Mapping in Mumbai
Hi, I am Gaurav Singh Nijjer. I tell stories through live performances, creative technology and multimedia.
I design large-scale projection mapping installations for buildings, events and public-facing spaces in Mumbai.
Large-scale mapping requires a different approach from projecting inside a gallery. I work with the geometry of buildings and large surfaces, considering projector throw, brightness, overlap, sightlines and audience distance from the beginning of the design. The visual content is developed to work at architectural scale rather than simply enlarged from a conventional video.

Gaurav Singh Nijjer is a theatre-maker, multidisciplinary designer, creative technologist and researcher from New Delhi, India.
As an artist Gaurav creates theatre, new media and interdisciplinary performances that integrate technology and storytelling, both as an individual artist and under his theatre company Kaivalya Plays. He is a researcher and educator, focusing on new technologies in storytelling. He also works as a creative strategist for brands and organizations, especially in the technology and arts sector, focusing on digital creative projects, marketing and growth.
